Brown-Mackie College is the title sponsor for the Expo. They have been helping students change their lives through education for the past 120 years. The South Florida campus is located in Miramar. Additional sponsors include The City of Pembroke Pines, The City Of Miramar, Microsoft, Florida Technical College, Medivance Billing, Florida Department of Health, SAM’s Club, New York Life Insurance, South Florida Pediatric Homecare Vocational Rehab, Can U Start, ITT Technical College, Concorde College, Florida Barber College & Glad Fitness.

Simply put, SBA helps individuals who struggle with a multitude of social, economic, medical and behavioral disorders to have hope and live productive drug-free lives. Dean Dalbery, CEO of SBA, says it well; “SBA’s C.L.I.C.K To Succeed Expo is a natural extension of what we have done for the past 20 years – promoting self-sufficiency and sustainability through career and education services to substance addicted pregnant or parenting women in recovery. As a non-profit organization of South Florida it made sense to expand this important role into the broader South Florida community.”

According to the Florida State Department of Labor there are approximately 50,000 unemployed people in Broward County. “Even if this Expo helps just 1%, it will positively impact up to 500 families in one day!” said Telena Paris, SBA Career & Adult Education Director. “The Expo is an interactive event which will include resume clinics, on-site job interviews, health screenings and food trucks sponsors.” she said.

Sponsorship opportunities are still available. For sponsorship and general information, contact Telena Paris at 954-733-6068 x 2025 or tparis@sbarecovery.org.

About Susan B. Anthony Recovery Center (SBA)

Currently commemorating 20 years of service since 1995, SBARC was founded by the Junior League of Greater Fort Lauderdale to address the needs of mothers who suffered from substance addiction and other abusive traumas. The mission then and now is to remove the barriers for women in treatment and to prevent their children from being placed in the overburdened foster care system. SBA is a unique residential treatment program – one of a hand-full in the United States – where women can keep their children with them while receiving treatment needed to learn to live their lives clean, sober and or emotionally healthy.
